Meet Kostadin, Customer Success Manager
This time in Champ in the Spotlight we introduce you to one of our Customer Success Managers: Kostadin Lilov. He always had a great interest in the tourism and hospitality industry which resulted in studying at Hotelschool The Hague. Born in Bulgaria and dreaming of being a football player when he grew up, he is now building his career scoring bookings for our customers.
What do you do as a Customer Success Manager?
“As a CS Manager I am the touch point with our current customers and I optimize their direct bookings using Hotelchamp’s toolset. I monitor and report on each customer’s performance and create strategies to optimize their journey with us and grow their direct bookings. I really like the fact that my job is very diverse. It has an analytical side in analyzing all the data of the tools, a creative side in building personalised features for different audiences and I also interact with our customers on a daily basis.”
How would you describe Hotelchamp in three words?
“Inspiring, entrepreneurial and fun!”
What was your first impression when you entered our office?
“The first thing I noticed when walking into the office was the startup mentality and the open office culture. All of my colleagues were very welcoming and made me feel part of the team immediately. Besides that, they welcomed me with great coffee.”
What has been your favorite moment so far at Hotelchamp?
“I would say the annual company Christmas party. We started the day with an inspiring presentation from our CEO Kristian, after which we went to an escape room, which was really fun and also attributed to the team-building spirit. Then we had a big dinner and last but not least we had a party. This was my favorite part of the day, my colleagues will know why ;)”
What do you think it takes to be a Champ?
“Champs are motivated to learn and challenge themselves; we are willing to go the extra mile. Besides that, we really want to help our customers and colleagues and therefore we come up with creative ideas and solutions. It’s also important to be interested in the hospitality industry and pass on that feeling to your customers.”
What was the biggest challenge during your career at Hotelchamp?
“When I was on my way to Bulgaria for my Christmas break, I got a call that one of our most important customers had a problem with one of the features. I pulled over at a gas station, started my laptop and fixed the problem together with the head of development. This was quite a challenge regarding all of the circumstances, but fortunately we fixed the problem in time.”
